I recently purchased my first digital album. First… ever! I’ll be honest, usually I illegally download all my music. If I like it, I’ll keep it around. If I really like it, I’ll try to see the band (if they tour), when they come into town. If I can’t stop listening to it, I’ll buy [...]

My Favorite Albums of 2009: Or, practically all of them.

This was a really, really tough year for me to pick my top 10 favorite albums. So, I didn’t. Since there were so many good albums this year (just an incredible amount), I decided to put up all of the albums that I really liked this year, and give a little commentary about all of [...]

Listened to the new Sunn O))) album, Monoliths & Dimensions today. What is up with 2009 and fucking amazing metal albums? This album is pure extreme art. The addition of strings and horns to the heavy, downtuned “bwwwwwaaaaoooooowwwww” was a good decision on the band’s part. Attila’s vokills are, as always, expertly executed. Everything fits [...]

We enjoyed some food and beers beforehand a couple of doors down, then stood in line for the show. Easy Street Records isn’t your normal venue. [...]
